Practice Description:

Ms. Arun's practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of biomedical devices, biotechnology and engineering patent applications. Ms. Arun has drafted and prosecuted U.S. and international patent applications. She assists a wide variety of clients in obtaining patent protection. These clients range from start-up companies with emerging biotechnology technologies to large academic research institutions.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Arun was a Research associate with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. Her work involved muscle atrophy research including identifying signaling pathways for Atrogin-1 and PGC1 alpha. Her work also included researching pathways for muscle myopathy induced by statins. Before joining Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Ms. Arun worked in the design and development department of Borax Morarji Chemicals Ltd., a chemical production unit located in Mumbai, India. Her work involved designing, programming and implementing automated system to conserve energy using Programmable Logic Control (PLC).
