Practice Description:

Attorney Engberg brings over ten years of environmental experience to the firm. She has an extensive background in compliance, permitting, administrative appeals, and litigation work. Her areas of permitting and compliance expertise include wetlands, waterways, hazardous and solid waste, brownfield, air emissions, and energy. Additionally, she counsels clients with respect to the Massachusetts Contingency Plan, and provides legal advice during the site remediation process. She evaluates environmental risk factors and, working closely with Licensed Site Professionals, reviews and analyzes site assessment documents. Attorney Engberg is responsible for determining the status of releases and threats of release of hazardous waste. She is also experienced with land use and zoning issues, and represents clients before federal, state and local boards and agencies with respect to those issues.

Additionally, Attorney Engberg is experienced in environmental litigation, including cost recovery actions brought pursuant to CERCLA and Chapter 21E. She is responsible for all phases of litigation, including researching and drafting pleadings, comprehensive discovery, oral arguments, and appellate work.
