Michael Williams joined Lawson & Weitzen in 2003, bring with him a strong background in complex litigation and appellate practice. Mr. Williams has appeared at all levels of state and federal court systems. Mr. Williams’ practice includes: professional malpractice defense, long-term care litigation, business litigation, employment law, licensing and administrative law and intellectual property/trademark law. Mr. Williams is the firm’s expert in the latest methods of electronic trial presentation and litigation management.

Mr. Williams received a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Norwich University in 1991 and received his law degree cum laude from Suffolk University School of Law in 1996. In addition to his practice with Lawson & Weitzen, Mr. Williams is a co-founder of a nonprofit law firm dedicated to civil rights litigation and has participated as a panel member examining equal rights issues in public education for an advisory committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Mr. Williams is a member of the Board of Directors for the Norwich University Alumni Association and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Tuerck Foundation.

Mr. Williams was named Lawyer of the Year for 2004 by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly when he was only 35 years old. Mr. Williams has also been honored in Boston Magazine’s “Super Lawyer” edition as a “Rising Star” of the Massachusetts legal community. Only 2.5 percent of Massachusetts attorneys are named Rising Stars each year.
