Bruna joined Lawson & Weitzen in 2023 as an associate. Her practice focuses on transactions for professional service firms in mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments, ownership transition, and individual and corporate professional licensure requirements. Bruna is extremely personable and a hardworking, caring, and determined attorney.
While in law school Bruna interned at two Boston law firms working with their litigation and corporate teams as well as with the real estate finance and bankruptcy departments. In addition, she worked for a cannabis-industry start-up assisting cannabis businesses with compliance with the continuously evolving cannabis law. Bruna was also a student attorney with the Northeastern University School of Law Intellectual Property Clinic where she worked with small businesses in registering, policing and putting in place frameworks to property their intellectual property.
Bruna co-founded and co-chaired the First Generation Law Association, creating a space for first generation students to connect with attorneys, other students, and staff to help navigate their legal career. When she’s not working, Bruna loves to cook and listen to podcasts, and she is a devoted Boston sports fan. Bruna is bilingual in English and Portuguese.
