George Hailer brings more than 40 years of education and work experience in the field of environmental law. He represents and advises clients on matters ranging from regulatory compliance and enforcement matters to land use, permitting issues, and hazardous waste compliance work, including advice regarding Massachusetts Contingency Plan. Prior to beginning his legal career, George was a biochemist and environmental analyst with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Engineering.
He held positions at the Technical Service Branch in Westborough, the State Lab in Lawrence, and the Department of Environmental Engineering. He was involved in the implementation, interpretation, and enforcement of state and federal environmental laws and regulations, including water pollution, air quality, and hazardous waste. He served as a liaison to the Environmental Protection Agency on enforcement actions and was on special assignment to the Massachusetts Attorney General.
George is a former environmental law instructor at Bentley College and an environmental lecturer with the Commercial Brokers Association Continuing Education Series.
