Joel joined Lawson & Weitzen in 2021 as an associate bringing experience in both litigation and corporate matters. His practice primarily focuses on assisting corporate clients with mergers and acquisitions, transactions, corporate governance, and licensure. He also handles various litigation cases for both individual and business clients. Joel is a thorough and hardworking attorney whose prior experiences in both litigation and corporate matter allows him to utilize a holistic approach to efficiently attaining his client’s needs.
While attending law school, Joel interned in-house for a Boston based company assisting in transactional corporate matters. He also interned for Federal Magistrate Marianne B. Bowler of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Following law school, he worked as a civil litigation associate for a mid-size regional law firm.
Joel was the captain for the Utica College Men’s Ice Hockey Team and played one season of professional hockey for the East Coast Hockey League. In addition to playing hockey, Joel is an excellent golfer. Despite growing up in New York, he is a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan.
