Practicing law since 2003, Jonathan Ash serves as legal counsel to both individuals and businesses, including several nonprofit organizations. He has concentrated his practice in general business and litigation matters, focusing on complex legal matters regarding children.
As an outside general counsel, Jon advises clients on matters involving mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, risk management, employment matters, leasing, and financing. Jon also represents insurance companies and their insureds on matters involving non-profit social services agencies.
Jon performs significant work in the areas of estate planning, working closely with clients to understand their goals and to assist them in creating an individualized estate plan that fits their unique family and business succession objectives. Services provided include legal consultation and preparation of wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxy, and other estate planning and tax planning strategies. In addition, Jon represents trustees, personal representatives, executors, administrators, and beneficiaries throughout the probate process.
In addition, Jon represents individual and business clients in a wide variety of residential and commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, condominium conversions, leasing, and mortgage loans.
Jon and his wife have three children. He enjoys coaching youth sports and working with his hands. Jon was also a volunteer firefighter for 8 years in New Jersey. Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Cemetery Commission in Westford, MA, serves on the Board of Ambassadors for The Home for Little Wanderers, Inc., and is a mentor to youth that are aging out of social services.
