Richie Weitzen, Managing Partner of Lawson & Weitzen, brings over 40 years of experience as a corporate transactional and real estate attorney and over 30 years leading and growing the firm into a full-service regional mid-sized power house. Richie’s clients include individuals, families, and closely held businesses and their shareholders, officers, and directors. He also represents parties involved in both residential or commercial real estate acquisitions, sales, and leases.
With the aging boomer population, Richie has also developed considerable experience counseling and assisting individuals and families with recommendations, guidance, and direction regarding retirement concerns, business exit strategies, family care planning and implementation, and estate and end of life planning. When called upon, Richie can and will function as the quarterback, making recommendations and referrals while coordinating various professionals as needed to ensure concerns are addressed and objectives achieved to the fullest possible extent.
As Managing Partner, Richie has developed an excellent appreciation of legal talent and laser ability to analyze and strategize how best to address a variety of cases, situations, and personalities. With that knowledge, he is able to deploy firm partners and associates to provide expert and efficient representation. With an accounting background and years of experience representing individual and business clients, he is extremely mindful of the financial burden incurred by clients when hiring skilled and experienced attorneys, and without fail, is always prepared to provide an accurate assessment of the costs, risks, and likelihood of success at the outset of a project, business transaction, or prospective litigation, all of which is critical to ensure clients make the optimal decision when working to attain their goals.
