Described by his clients as
outstanding, effective, and efficient, Peter Grupp engages in a diverse legal
practice representing clients in complex corporate transactions, including
acquisitions and divestitures, corporate formation and governance, and internal
ownership transitions. Peter enjoys guiding his clients through multi-faceted
business transactions, anticipating and protecting against issues and pitfalls
while providing business advice and practical solutions. Peter is co-head of the Corporate practice team with Partner George Christodoulo.
Peter focuses his corporate practice in mergers and acquisitions, primarily in the professional services industries. As part of Lawson & Weitzen’s transaction team, Peter has helped close over 150 acquisitions, serving as the lead transaction attorney for the majority of them. Recently, Peter has closed multiple private equity recapitalizations and platform transactions of prominent engineering firms throughout the country.
Peter represents clients spanning a number of industries, including: Architecture, Professional Engineering, Land Surveying, Geology and Environmental Consulting, Tech, and Alcoholic Beverage Supply/Wholesale.

Peter joined Lawson & Weitzen as an associate in March 2016 after completing a fellowship with Boston University’s Office of the General Counsel. While a student at Boston University, Peter was a finalist in the Homer Albers Moot Court Competition and represented his school as part of its National Appellate Advocacy Team. During school, Peter interned with the Honorable Judge Indira Talwani at the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts, and was Secretary of the Energy and Environmental Law Society.
